The basic Story line of CCV ( Chekka Chivandha vaanam ) is that one of the Don's in a city is getting murdered and then who among his 3 sons gets the position of the DON and other situations happening around them is the remaining story of the movie CCV ( Chekka Chivandha Vaanam ).
CCV ( Chekka Chivandha Vaanam ) - Review:
This is one of the pure entertainer from director Mani Ratnam. Characterization of Aravind Saamy in this movie looks similar with the rough and tough character of Maadhavan in Ayudha Ezhuthu movie. Role of Arun Vijay in CCV ( Chekka Chivandha Vaanam ) is a stylish one with smart moves in his character oriented scenes. The unfearing STR Silambarasan character in this movie is one of the interesting characters of this movie. The roles of Vijay Sethupathy is one of the shuttle characters among the other characters of this movie. The role of Prakash Raj has been amazingly portrayed and performed by him. But overall, in performance wise, Vijay Sethupathy is the one who gets more applause by his performance.
None of the female characters of the movie have been given more screen value in this movie sadly. Cinematography of Santhosh Sivan is as usual catches our eyes always and fitting into the screen. Music of A R Rahman and songs have been put perfectly on the flow of the movie and they are not seen as break for the movie.
The biggest plus point of the movie is the flow of the movie that the story begins from the first scene of the movie and the same has been said by straight forward screen play through out the movie. Even though some of the twists in the movie are predictable, the moves are interesting and did not affect the entertainment of the whole movie.
As minor minus points, the characterization of any character in the movie is not detailed well and good and so the death of any character in the movie is not affecting the audience a lot.
Over all - Checka Chivandha Vaanam is a Mani Ratnam branded Masala Movie.
