Trisha and Amitabh Bachan roped in Ponniyin Selvan:
Amithap bachchan and Trisha signed the contract to act in this movie. It has been confirmed that Trisha has signed the contract to act in the movie Ponnyin selvan directed by Maniratnam. In continuation to the movie Sekkasivantha vasnam., Maniratnam is getting ready to direct Ponnyin selvan. LICA production is producing this film. Jeyam Ravi, Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya rai, Keerthy suresh, Lal and others are starring in this movie.

Shooting of this film is going to take place at Thailand. Madras Talkies is producing this film and get first copy under the banner of LYCA productions. It has been confirmed by Lal in his Instagram post that he is acting in this movie, he also listed the name of Jeyam ravi, Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya rai along with the name of Amithap bachchan and Trisha in his post. It has further been confirmed the acting of Trisha by the production team when it was inquired. Trisha has already acted in the movie Aayutha eluthu which was directed by Maniratnam.
Through Ponnyin selvan trisha is going to act again under the direction of Maniratnam. the following people are doing their respective role, Ravi Varman as director of cinematography, Thotta dharani as art director, A.R. Rahman as director of music and vairamuthu as lyricist.
