Interesting facts about Bhoomika
Bhoomika was born to an army officer in a Punjabi family in New Delhi. From the political capital she had moved to the commercial capital of India viz Mumbai in 1997, She took up assignments in Ad films and Hindi music Video Albums, Her next foot forward towards movies was accepting a role in Zee TV series Hip Hip Hurray. In 2000 the doors of the Cineworld were open to her when she was offered a role in the Telugu film Yuvakaadu opposite Sumanth. But it was her next film Kushi ( a mega hit film ) opposite the Telugu Powerstar Pawan Kalyan which made people in the Industry take note of her,Her looks and skills did the rest and very soon the flood gates were open..to films in all the South Indian languages and Bolly wood.
Bhoomika's debut in Tamil was Badri opposite Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay. She gradually ascended to the top of the ladder, acting in 25 Telugu films and 9 Hindi films.She had acted in the Hindi remake of the super hit Tamil film RUN and the Telugu remake of the mega success Tamil film Autograph.
Bhoomika's debut in Hindi was Tere Nam opposite to Salman Khan which was a money spinner and placed her on a very high pedastal. She rose to stardom acting with Super stars like Amithabh Bachhan, another film with Salman Khan, with Akshay Kumar ,Chiranjeevi and Sameera Reddy.
She married her long time boy friend and Yoga Teacher Bharat Thakur whom she had been dating for four years. The marriage was conducted in a Gurudwara in Nashik in 2007 , October.She has a son who was born in 2014.
After her marriage she stopped acting in movies. She returned after a gap of 9 years to Bolly wood with a Biopic M.S.Dhoni the untold story as the eldest sister of Sushant Singh Rajput.
