Box Office Collection of Tamil movies 2.0 and Sarkar:
Superstar Rajnikanth's Tamil movie 2.0 which was released on 29th October in over one thousand theaters across the globe collected a whopping eighty crores totally in India ( second only to Bahubali -2 which had collected an all time record of 150 crores in 2017) on the very first day itself.
The break up of box office collection of Tamil movie 2.0 in various places as reported is as under;-
Tamil Nadu - 18 crores, Telugu speaking states - 19 crores, Karnataka - 8 crores. Kerala - 5 crores,. The Hindi version collected 21 crores.
Despite the ban on the online release of the movie 2.0 has always had its share of anxiety since its inception and its release too was no exception. Vattali Nagaraj and his supporters had objected to the RELEASE of the movie in Karnataka as bulk of the theaters in Karnataka were blocked for this Rajni starrer leaving many ready for release Kannada movies stranded without theaters. Mr Nagaraj and his supporters held agitations before theaters stating that the movie should either be released or at least released a month later. However 2.0 had been released all over Karataka with full protection.
Box Office Collection of Tamil movie Sarkar:
Vijay' s latest Mega hit Tamil movie Sarkar has crossed 250 crores revenue world wide. In Tamilnadu alone it has fetched 126 crores of which Chennai's share is 15 crores.
