There was a huge expectation from the Tamil cinema audience that this movies follows the victory of the movie Mankatha from the director of this movie ( Biryani ) too. Additionally the reason for the expectation is because of the star casts acted in this movie that the combination of  Karthi and Tamil actress Hansika Motwani have acted together in this movie.

Tamil actor Karthi:

Karthi has acted as a bachelor has a childhood friend Premji Amaran. In the first half of the movie Karthi comes as a playful boy who does flattering with all the girls that he sees. but he has a girl friend too ( Hansika Motwani ). Then in the second half Karthi has given his action, comedy and other acting talents with respect to the situation of the movie.

Tamil actress Hansika Motwani in biriyani:

Hansika has done the role of girl friend of Karthi in this movie and she works as a reporter. She has done her part well and good with her role in this movie.

Tamil actor Premji Amaran:

Premji Amaran is coming in almost all the scenes of the movie as his role sticks with the hero role of the movie. Premji has done his role with his timing comedy talents and the reactions as per the situation his role faces.

The other actors acted in this movie are actor Nasser, Sampath and others.

Story of the Tamil movie Biriyani:

The movie starts with a flying car in which Karthi and Premji are scaring and shouting in side. Then Premji starts telling a flash back about how they got trapped in this situation because of buy a biriyani parcel. The flash back starts with the comic scenes between Karthi, Premji and Hansika that Karthi does flattering with all the girls that Premji sees. At the end of the first half, Karthi and Premji had to face a situation when they go to buy a biriyani parcel in the Aaambur town.

At that Ambur Biriyani stall they meet a lady and drops her in a hotel and she calls them to come in side the room and they agree. Followed that, there is a crime happens in the hotel room and both Karthi and Premji Amaran getting trapped in the situation.

The remaining story of the movie lies on whether Karthi and Amaran getting out off the trap or not with interesting screen play. The music of Yuvan shankar raja is good with the movie and songs. Direction and screen play of the movie makes the audience to be stick with the story of the movie.
