Anushka Shetty, the real name of her is, Sweety Shetty, born in the final quarter of the year 1981 as a Kannada Girl in the Karnataka State of India. Nicknames of this lead Tamil actress are, Sweety and Tommulu.
Like most of the Karnataka-born Indian Cinema artists, Anushka also got her debut movie in the other language than Kannada, that in a Telugu movie namely Super. If we come across the Cinema career of Anushka Shetty, the part of Telugu Cinema will occupy the most part of her like Arundhathi, Vedam, etc., One of her highly spoken Tamil cinema is Singam. She has won some awards so far including the Kalaimaamani Award of Tamilnadu Government.
The film career of Anushka Shetty:
As we have seen above, Anushka got her debut in a Telugu movie namely Super in the year 2005. After doing four consecutive numbers of Telugu language movies, she came to the Tamil cinema industry with her Tamil debut movie, Rendu pairing with R. Madhavan under the direction of Tamil cinema director Sundar c. The movie Rendu was completely a comedy-based movie and the most important of the storyline of this movie was focusing on comedy. In this movie, Anushka was shown as an angel, shining in the songs sequences and acting with Madhavan and the comedy actors. In this first movie of Anushka in Tamil, the song, mobila Mobila got a great hit.
Then Anushka went back strongly to the Telugu industry and acted consecutively in 11 movies, including Arundhadhi in which the nice acting performance of Anushka took place and the same movie was dubbed in the Tamil language too. In Telugu Billa, Anushka had acted with a black color bikini dress which made her one of the topmost talked celebrities of South Indian Cinemas. Then she came back to the cinema industry with the Tamil movie Vettaikaaran, pairing with Vijay. In the movie Vettaikaaran, Anushka did the lead role under the banner of Sun Pictures. The dance performance of Anushka in that movie with Vijay was a pleasure to the eyes of the audience.
After Vettaikaaran, Anushka acted in a special appearance in the Telugu movie Kedi. Then Anushka came back to Tamil cinema in the year 2010 with the movie, Singam acting with Surya, under the direction of director Hari. Then again, she went to Telugu movies and acted for 7 movies there. Now, finally, Anushka has got a somehow strong return to cinema and acting some Tamil movies consecutively. In the year 2011, Anushka acted in the movie Vaanam, in which she had done one of the 5 roles that are part of the story. Anushka got a weighted role in the movie Vaanam, as a prostitute. In the movie Vaanam, STR Simbu, Prakash Raj, Saranya, and Tamil actor Bharath had done the other main roles of the movie.
After a remarkable hit of the movie Vaanam, Anushka acted in the Tamil movie Deiva thirumagal, in which, Tamil actor Vikram had done the main male role. Then Anushka Shetty acted in the movie Saguni pairing with Karthi, Anushka has done a guest role in this movie. In the movie Alex Pandian, Anushka did the main role, the character of Anushka in the movie is a daughter of a minister of Tamilnadu and she gets into big trouble with the villain group. Then the hero Karthi saves Anuska Shetty from that trouble.
Then she acted in the movie namely Thaandavam, pairing with Tamil actor Vikram. The role of Anushka in this movie was spoken after the release of this movie.
Tamil movie Irandaam Ulagam – Anushka Shetty in the main role, under the direction of director Selva Raghavan. In this movie Anushka did two kinds of brilliant roles, one among them is a bold wild girl and the other one is a soft loving girl who is doing one side love with Arya.
Then she acted in the Tamil movie Lingaa in the year 2014 pairing with Rajnikanth under the direction of KS Ravikumar, This movie is another evidence of the excellent dance performance of Anushka.
