Even though Tamil actress Nayantara born in Bangalore, she had born as a Malayalee. Yes, her parents are Jacobite Christian Malayalies the name of parents of this charming actress are, Kurian Kodiyattu and Omana Kurian. The education of Nayantara was in many places of India as her father was working in Air Force of India. Mother of Nayantara was a housewife. The name of cities where and all Nayantara has lived and studied are, Chennai of Tamilnadu, Jam nagar of Gujarat and New Delhi. Then she acted in the movie Sivakasi just for a single song, Kodambakkam area with Tamil actor Illayathalapathy Vijay. In this period, Nayantara became one of the dream girls of the Tamil cinema audience. 

The next movie of Nayanthara was, Kalvanini Kaadhali, in which she acted with S J Surya who is one of the romantic hero’s of Tamil cinema. Nayanthara’s cute acting in the video songs of the movie Kalvanin Kaadhali were got super hit.In the year 2005, Tamil actress Nayantara got her very first movie in the Telugu cinema industry namely, Lakshmi and alsi another movie, Boss. Nayantara came back to Tamil, with the movie Vallavan, paired with Tamil actor STR Silambarasan. There were number of controversies about Nayantara based on this movie, Vallavan. Those controversies and gossips about Nayantara are, the lip to lip kissing video scene of STR simbu and Nayantara, then the lips biting scene of STR silambarasan with Nayantara. After the huge reputation and controversies, Nayantara acted with Sharath kumar again, in the movie, Thalaimagan. After that, she got the movie under the direction of Jana Nathan who has won the national award for a Tamil movie. The name of the movie of Nayantara under the direction of Jana Nathan is, E.In this movie she acted with Tamil actor Jeeva.  Then she went to Telugu movie namely yogi and dubai Seenu. Tamil actress Nayantara did an item song in one of the greatest movies of Tamil cinema, Shivaji under the direction of Director Shankar acted together with Tamil actor, Super Star Rajnikanth. The item song of that movie in which Nayan acted is Ballelakka. Following by a Telugu movie namely tulasi, she acted in the Tamil movie Billa 2007 in which Tamil actor Ultimate star Ajith Kumar acted and got a great success from the Box office point of view. This movie was a simple remake of the old, Rajnikanth’s Billa movie done by Tamil director Vishnu wardhan. In the movie Billa, Nayanthara acted in bikini in a scene and it was one of the important scenes in that movie. Billa gave a nice name for Tamil actress Nayantara as she is one of the best performer as she had done the bold role in that movie. The next Tamil movie of this dream girl was Villu with Illayathalapathy namely Villu. In this movie, Nayantara had acted with exposed herself under the direction of Tamil actor cum director, Prabhudeva. In this movie, the oil massage scene of Nayantara with vijay was under controversy first. But the controversy of Nayantara with that movie director Prabhu deva which has been hot still had over took those glamour gossips. The gossip went upto the level of Nayantara married Prabu deva, Prabu deva claimed divorce from his wife to marry Nayantara and finally Tamil actress NAyantara announced break up with Tamil actor, director Prabu Deva. 

In the year 2009, Tamil actress Nayantara got several movies in Tamil, Malayalam and Tollywood cinema industry. Followed by the telugu movie Anjanevulu, Nayantara acted in the Tamil movie Aadhavan pairing with Tamil actor Surya. In this movie also her role was talked in Tamilnadu spread. The song hasile fasily from this movie got the favorite number among many Tamil cinema fans. She acted in a Telugu movie and came back to Tamil after a Malayalam movie, Body guard in the movie Goa for the climax scene as herself. After peeping to Tollywood in the movie Simha, Nayantara came back to Tamil by the movie Boss Engira Bhaskaran which is a full-fledged comedy oriented subject with the comedy scenes of Tamil comedian Santhanam and Tamil actor Arya. Boss Engira Baskaran became the very last Tamil movie that Nayantara acted but she did some movies in other languages. After Boss Engira Baskaran, Nayantara stopped acting in teh movies as she was in the preparation of marrying to Prabu Deva.

As we have seen above, Nayanthata got into the controversies and gossips for the first time with the Tamil actor Silambarasan and both of them have got married. But that controversy was strongly denied by Nayantara. 

But the controversy of Nayantara with the Tamil actor, choreographer and director Prabu deva is different. Because the public has got some evidence on the relationship between Nayantara and Prabhu deva like Nayantara put a permanent tattoo of Prabhu deva name (Prabu) on her hand and it was shown in some press releases regarding the relationship between Nayantara and Prabhu deva. 

In the year 2010, Prabu deva declared that he will marry Nayantara soon. The case of Nayantara with Prabhu deva got serious when the wife of Prabu deva, Ramalath denied divorcing Prabu deva and started a hunger strike. The latest updates about this issue of Nayantara with Prabu deva says that Nayantara got converted to Hindu religion for actor Prabhu deva.
