Even though Nayantara born in Bangalore, she had born as a Malayalee. Yes, her parents are Jacobite Christian Malayalies the name of the parents of this actress are, Kurian Kodiyattu and Omana Kurian. The education of Nayantara was in many places of India as her father was working in Air Force of India. Her mother was a housewife. The names of cities where and all Nayantara has lived and studied are, Chennai of Tamilnadu, Jam nagar of Gujarat and New Delhi. But, after the retirement of her father from Air force, she continued her schooling from the state, Kerala, at the town Thiruvalla in the school namely Balikamadom girls Higher Secondary School and college life of Nayantara was in the college, Marthoma College.  Nayantara’s education degree name was, Bachelor degree in English Literature.

The very first cinema debut of Nayantara was in the Malayalam cinema industry namely the movie, Manassinakkare. The pair of Nayantara with Jayaram happened in this movie. The chance for acting in cinemas came to Nayanthara through the Malayalam film director Sathyam Anthikkad.  The next one was with the Malayalam Super Star Mammooty under the direction of one of the leading directors Fazil.

After the movie with Mammooty, Nayantara acted in another Malayalam movie namely Natturajavu in the same year 2003. Nayanthara’s cute acting in the video songs of the movie Kalvanin Kaadhali were got super hit.In the year 2005, Nayantara got her very first movie in the Telugu cinema industry namely, Lakshmi and also another movie, Boss. Nayantara came back to Tamil, with the movie Vallavan, paired with Tamil actor STR Silambarasan. There were several controversies about Nayantara based on this movie, Vallavan. Those controversies and gossips about Nayantara are, the lip to lip kissing video scene of STR Simbu and Nayantara, then the lips-biting scene of STR Silambarasan with Nayantara. After that, she got the movie under the direction of Jana Nathan who has won the national award for a Tamil movie. The name of the movie of Nayantara under the direction of Jana Nathan is, E.In this movie, she acted with Tamil actor Jeeva.  Then she went to Telugu movies namely yogi and Dubai Seenu.  Nayantara did an item song in one of the greatest movies of Tamil cinema, Shivaji under the direction of Director Shankar acted together with Super Star Rajnikanth. The item song of the movie in which Nayan acted is Ballelakka. 

2007 :

Following a Telugu movie Tulasi, she acted in the movie Billa 2007 in which Tamil actor Ultimate star Ajith Kumar acted and got great success from the Box office point view. This movie was a simple remake of the old, Rajnikanth’s Billa movie done by Tamil director Vishnu Wardhan. In the movie Billa, Nayanthara acted in a bikini in a scene and it was one of the important scenes in that movie. Not only in that scene, Nayanthara made skin shows in many scenes of the Tamil movie Billa.

Billa gave a nice name for Nayantara as she is one of the best performers as she had done the bold role in that movie. Then she got the opportunity to act in the movie Yaaradi nee mohini which was completely a performance role with the excellent work of Nayantara as an actress she did her part in that movie both, as a city girl working in a software company and a normal village girl from a very big family.

Kuselan was yet another movie in which Nayanthara acted together with Tamil Super Stat Rajini Kanth. Nayantara did a small part only in the movie Kuselan. The first movie of Nayantara with  Vishal was, Sathyam in which she acted as a normal city girl and did her part well and well. In the song Chellame chellame, Nayantara acted glamourous and the same song became a commercial hit too. Then Ajith Kumar acted with Nayantara in the movie Aegan.

 The next Tamil movie of Nayantara was Villu with Illayathalapathy Vijay namely Villu. In this movie, Nayantara acted with exposed herself under the direction of Tamil actor cum director, Prabhudeva. But the controversy of Nayantara with movie director Prabhu Deva which has been hot still over took the gossip. The gossip went up to the level of Nayantara marrying Prabu deva, Prabu deva claimed divorce from his wife to marry Nayantara, and finally, Nayantara announced break up with Prabu Deva. 

2009:

In the year 2009, Nayantara got several movies in the Tamil, Malayalam and Tollywood cinema industry. Following the Telugu movie Anjanevulu, Nayantara acted in the Tamil movie Aadhavan pairing with actor Surya. In this movie also her role was talked in Tamilnadu spread. The song hassle fasily from this movie got a favorite number among many Tamil cinema fans. She acted in a Telugu movie and came back to Tamil after a Malayalam movie, Body Guard in the movie Goa for the climax scene as herself. After peeping to Tollywood in the movie Simha, Nayantara came back to Tamil by the movie Boss Engira Bhaskaran which is a full-fledged comedy-oriented subject with the comedy scenes of comedian Santhanam and actor Arya. Boss Engira Baskaran became the very last Tamil movie which Nayantara acted but she did some movies in other languages. After Boss Engira Baskaran, Nayantara stopped acting in the movies as she was in preparation of marrying to Prabu Deva. 

2013:

After a huge gap of 3 years, Nayantara started acted in Tamil cinema through a cameo appearance in the movie Edhir Neechal in which Siva Karthikeyan did the lead role under the direction of Durai Senthil Kumar. In this movie, Nayantara acted only for a song with Dhanush and Siva Karthikeyan. 

In the same year, Nayanthara acted in a super hit movie Raja Rani under the direction of Atlee having Arya, Nazriya, and Santhanam in the casts with the music of G V Prakash Kumar. 

Then she acted in Tamil movie Aarambam in which lead male role was done by actor Ajith. This movie had Rana Daggubaddi, Arya and Taapsee Pannu in the casts. 

2014 :

In this year, Nayantara chose only one movie in Tamil, namely Kadhirvelanin Kadhal paired up with actor Udhaya Nidhi Stalin

2015:

In this year Nayantara acted in 4 number of movies in Tamil. 

Nanbenda :

In this movie Nayantara acted with Udhaya Nidhi Stalin under the direction of Jagadish. In this movie Comedian Santhaanam also acted and got some reach among Tamil cinema audience. 

Then Nayantara acted in Tamil movie Massu Engira Masilamani in which Suriya did the lead Male role under the direction of Venkat Prabu. The role of Nayantara in this movie is a Nurse who falls in love with the protagonist and later on moves away seeing his grey sides. 

Thani Oruvan :

This is one of the massive hit movies which was not expected by many Tamil cinema audiences in that year. 

Nayantara acted with Jeyam Ravi in this movie under the direction of Jayam Raja. The role of Nayantara in this movie is a girl who tries to join in Indian Army also who loves the protagonist one-sided. The song, Kannala Kannala centered on Nayantara got good reach among the Tamil audience. 

Maya :

In this movie Nayantara acted with Jeeva under the direction of P S Ramnath. In this movie, Nayantara acted as a village girl. A movie clip from this movie of Nayantara with a small kid went viral in social media those days. 

Then Nayantara acted in a big-budget movie paired with actor Vikram namely Iru Mugan. In this movie, Nayantara acted as a computer analyst. 

Kadhmora :

Dora:

This movie had Nayantara as the protagonist under the direction of Doss Ramasamy. We can say this movie is the second step Nayantara took towards her Lady Superstar chair.

Kola Maavu Kokila:

This is yet another blockbuster movie in Tamil cinema having Nayantara as the protagonist under the direction of Nelson Dilip Kumar with the music from Aniruth Ravichander. 

Imaikaa Nodikal:

Nayantara did the protagonist role in this movie also under the direction of Ajay Gnana Muthu. This is the complete action movie done by Nayantara for the first time.

In this year Nayantara acted in 5 Tamil movies. 

Viswasam:

In this movie Nayantara had a remarkably fair role in a big hero movie that the story of the whole movie moves with her role. Actor Ajith did the protagonist in this movie under the direction of Shiva with the music of D Imman. In this movie Nayantara acted as the mother of Anikha Surendran. 

Airaa :

This is another movie that has Nayantara as the protagonist under the direction of Sarjun KM, written by Priyanka Ravindran. In this movie, Nayantara acted with black-skinned makeup for the first time. 

In these days, Nayantara was balancing her career well by acting as heroin in Masala movies as well as acting as the stand-alone protagonist movie on the other hand. 

Mr. Local:

In this movie, Nayantara acted with Siva Karthikeyan under the direction of M Rajesh. This movie did not work well if we compare it with the expectations it had. 

Kolaiyudhir Kaalam:

Soon after doing Mr Local, Nayantara again got back to her stand-alone series she acted as the protagonist for the movie Kolaiyudhir kaalam under the direction of Chakri Toleti who had directed Billa 2 before. Bigil:

Nayantara acted with actor Vijay for the second time in her career through the movie Bigil after Villu. In this movie Nayantara acts as a girl who falls in love with Vijay and also motivates a team of girls who try to win a football championship.

Darbar :

After pairing up with Thalapathy, Nayantara acted as the pair for Superstar Rajnikanth in her next movie under the direction of Murugadoss with the music of Aniruth Ravichander.

This time again, Nayantara chose a movie with a stand alone Protagonist movie under the direction of

 R J Balaji. In this movie she acted as the title role, goddess Mookuthi Amman. 

2021 : 

Netrikann:

Yet another movie Nayantara acted in the lead protagonist role under the direction of Milind Rau with the music of Girish Gopala Krishnan. 

Annathe :

Nayantara acted as the pair of Rajnikanth again for this movie after Darbar under the direction of Shiva. 

2022 :

Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal :

Nayantara acted under the direction of Vignesh Sivan for the second time. In this movie Nayantara acted with Vijay Sethupathy with the music of Aniruth. This movie had Samantha, Prabu, Sreeshanth and others in its casts.

Nayantara acted as the protagonist in this movie under the direction of G S Vignesh. This movie was well written for a good woman-centric movie and Nayantara got a good name out of this movie.
