Malavika Mohanan has finished her masters degree . She accompanied her father to commercial shoot for advertising , merge with  Mammootty. Then she intrested the acting. Then came an opportunity to act in a film with Dulquer salmaan upcoming Malayalam film ( pattam pole 2013). That's why she was interested in fashion design. So the starts own dress designer for the projects. Then she act as romantic film it is box office. 

While the Times of India reviews suggest that she did the decent job .Same period , she sitting up the Indian ethics fashion clothing brand as “The Scarlet Window” . Second film Nirnayakam 2015 played a bellet dancer role .In 2016 she act as Kanada film “Nanu Mattu Varalakshmi” opposite debuted actor Prithvi. She played next movie as bold role of a police officer in crime thriller The great Father 2017. Malavika’s breakthrough as an actress came through her role as Tara, a poor girl from Mumbai’s Dhobi Ghat area, in Majid Majidi’s drama film, Beyond the Clouds (2017).The film opened to positive reviews and performed well at the box office . She also acting in Hindi film. She signed on to appear in a role in Karthik Subarea’s Petta (2019), which would feature her alongside an ensemble cast including  Rajinikanth, Vijay Sethupathi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Petta as her first Tamil movie. Next she appeared the Tamil action thriller movie Master (2021) merge with  Vijay .

Master can successful film and audience accepted the Malavika. In 2022, her first release was Maaran, opposite Dhanush. But , Marran gets the bad commands and critics. She act an one web series Mashaba Mashaba in 2020.In 2022 play a music video Tauba.

Awards and nominations: she won the Acting sensation of the year (2019) for Beyond the clouds film.

She has been nominated the best actress of critic for Beyond the clouds in screen awards (2019).
