To tell short and crisp, the game of hero by getting a dog into the ground is the story of Naaikal Jaakirathai. In this movie, Sibi Raj is a police officer. His police scenes in the beginning are not narrated as a strict police officer, but a jolly police officer who makes fun with his collegues in drunken stage and once when he goes for the rescue operation of a kidnapped girl, he happens to kill the younger brother of a don and so the gang of the don tempts to kill Sibi Raj in any way.
In betweeen, Sibi Raj comes to know about a dog namely Subramani which is being grown by the opposite house military man. Sibi Raj tries hard to banish the dog which has been coming around him often. Later on, Sibi Raj becomes a friend of the dog and he makes the dog as one of the police dogs by giving proper trainings for the dog. At this stage, the wife of Sibi Raj ( Arundhadhi ) is getting kidnapped by the don gang whose brother was killed by Sibi Raj earlier. The remaining story of Naaikal Jaakirathai moves on the steps been taken Sibi Raj to rescue his wife from the gang and how the dog helps him in that mission.
It takes much time for the director Shakthi to get the screenplay to move into the story, as the introduction part of the characters of the movie looks occupied more screen space. The style of using the dog in the screen play is the main strength of the movie. The efforts that have been taken by the director with the acting of the dog are visible in the screen that the acting of the dog steals the show. The way how this movie is different from other movies having animals as character is, the natural way of using the dog instead of using the dogs in the similar way how director Rama Narayanan used.

The dog song which comes in between the movie is screened with class and that song tells the complete affection between a dog and a man which will resemble with the real life men who are having dog as their pet animal. The song starts with the word Nenjai. This movie can be expected to the movie of break point in the cinema career of Tamil actor Sibi Raj. He is admirable in the screen with the action scenes, the conversation scene of him with his police colleagues etc. But we could still find lagging in the acting of Sibi in the emotional scenes specially in the scenes when he hears that his wife is kidnapped.
There is no big scope on the screen for Tamil actress Arundadhi who comes as the wife of Sibi Raj that she appears in the screen only for a short duration but she has done her part perfect. Especially in the scenes when she comes to know that she is going to die and when she speaks like the wife of police officer. The villain in this movie has been done by Tamil actor Balaji Venu Gopal and his roles makes us the audience to remind the villain roles of Tamil movies Kaaka Kaaka and Vettaiyadu Vilayadu.
The efforts of the crew of Tamil movie Naaikal Jaakradhai on giving training for the dog should be highly appreciated. The role of the heroin has also been well defined that she has not been introduced to the screen with a song containing her as the pretty doll or a quarreling wife with the hero but she comes into the screen with a lovely wife of the hero directly. One of the main different scenes in this movie is that the heroin has the dialogue of telling that her age is 32 which can not be seen commonly in Tamil cinema. The scene when Sibiraj comes to know that the military man who is the real owner of the dog dies is giving good feel when watching the movie.
Tamil actor Mano Bala who comes in between scenes makes us laugh even though he has less scenes in the movie. The cinematography of this movie is making us to stick with the movie from head to tail. In the music of Dharun Kumar, the song Nenjil is a remarkable one.
