Vishal has been doing the business of giving money for montage in a very small level even without having an office for his financial business. On the other hand the villain of the movie Mukesh is being an under world don doing the same financial work for name sake and completely involved with the under world businesses. Then the Shruti Hassan is a modern girl well educated and having negative thoughts about love.
With these characterizations, the movie starts with a big fight scene and a song for the hero Vishal. Followed by that, Shruti hassan's introduction scene is coming with the BGM of Kallai mattum kandal song from Tamil movie Dasavadhaaram and she introduces her family to us indirectly by humming a song. Then there is an introduction BGM for the comedian Soori that he gets the song from Tamil movie Singam. Initial stage of this movie is having the scenes having Vishal and Shruti hassan on screen that Vishal fells in love with Shruti hassan but she ignores him with harshful words that she talks bad about the status of Vishal. Even though Vishal himself is a million er, he goes out of the screen silently.
At this time the flash back about Vishal is coming to the screen that Vishal is a million er and he has been away from his rich family because of the mistake he did not even do that in the marriage function of Tamil actress Abhinaya, she calls Vishal privately in a room and hugs him and revealing her love to him. Even though Vishal does not have love on Abhinaya, the father of Abhinaya sees Vishal hugging Abhinaya in a room at the eve night of her marriage. Then the father of Abhinaya ( Tamil actor Thalai vaasal vijay ) shouts loud on Vishal and everyone of the family gathers in front of that room and Rathika who is the mother of Vishal also comes and on hearing the hugging event, Radhika slaps Vishal and instructs him to get out of the family and from then Vishal gets away from that family for 4 years.
At a moment, Abhinaya herself reveals the truth to Radhika by promising on the child of Abhinaya, that Vishal did not do any mistake in that room and she only hugged him. Then Vishal gets call from his mother and joins with his family. On the other hand, the villain Mukesh is trying to insult the whole family of Vishal as a mission because of his desire to capture a big asset which is own by the family of Vishal but the Vishal family is trying to give the whole property to a temple. To protect the asset going to be presented to the temple, the Vishal family trying to get Mukesh out of the chairman post of that temple and trying to make Jaya Prakash who is one of the members of Vishal family in that post.
At the time of nomination of Jaya Prakash to the chairman post of the temple, Mukesh beats Jaya Prakash in front of all the village people by keeping a rowdy. Now, Radhika asks her son ( Vishal ) to go and break the hand of the man who beat Jaya Prakash in public. Vishal goes and does the fracture work after a big mass fight. At this time, the solution for the love break up between Shruti hassan and Vishal also getting solved by an event that Vishal stops the friend of Shruti from running out from her house with her lover. After this event, Shruti hassan falls in love with Vishal.
Then the gang of Mukesh is trying to kill Sathyaraj who is a police in front of a Cinema theater. At this time, Vishal interferes and saves the soul of Sathyaraj. By keeping both, interfering in the murder of Sathyaraj and for entering the house of Mukesh and fracturing the hand of his own gang guy and challenging Mukesh that Vishal will break the hands of Mukesh in public in front of 5000 people, Mukesh plans to kill Vishal. But when Mukesh plans to kill Vishal, Tamil actor Vishal uses the same opportunity to break the hands of Mukesh and beating Mukesh in teh middle of the Coimbatore city.
When Vishal beats Mukesh in front of 5000 people, Shruti hassan makes video shoot and the friend of her spreads the video in the youtube as a hot fighting video. Then there is a man from Patna gets straight to Coimbatore to kill Mukesh as the man is one of the victims of the actions of Mukesh. After this Mukesh decides to murder everyone of the family of Vishal and plans to kill Jaya Prakash in his own factory but Vishal stops by doing the fight with the mob sent by Mukesh. The remaining story is whether Mukesh killed the relations of Vishal family or not? What happened to Shruti Hassan love with Vishal ? and what that Patna man does after coming to Coimbatore ? etc.,
As usual Vishal has suited with his role as this movie is a complete action movie and he has added value for the mass heroes and acted with aggressive. But the role of Shruti hassan is having modern flavor but not the usual regional look of director Hari movies. But Shruti has done stunning with her emotions and dance movements in the movie. Some comedy tracks of the combinations of Soori Imman Annachi and Pandi has made the audience laughter. The role of Sathyraj is made a strong one and he has taken the role well and good.
The music of director Yuvan Shankar Raja has traveled from the beginning to the end of the movie with the variations according to the emotions of the movie. All the songs are good and nice to hear and Andrea Jeremiah has made a item video song in this movie.
Over all, Tamil movie Poojai is a normal Hari movie with the mixing of Love, Action, Sentiments, Comedy and all the masala items. Each and every fight scenes of this movie are with sparkling movements and effects with the strength of the Back ground music.
