The Tamil movie I movie shooting was started in the year of 2012 itself with the whole team Shankar all the cast and crew of Tamil movie I. The locations have taken place in Tamil movie I are, Chennai, Bangkok, China, Jodhpur, Kodaikanal, Pollachi, Bangalore and Mysore. At the time of selecting the Heroin role of the movie I, Asin Thottumkal and Deepika Padukone have been asked previously than selecting Amy Jackson for the main female role of the movie with the salary of 7.5 million Indian Rupees. Jeeva had been asked to do a supporting role in the Tamil movie I but he had not accepted the offer and the same role was done by Tamil actor Srinivasan.
Initially director Shankar has thought that there is no need for body weight lose but Vikram has made the weight losing works and weight increasing works for the different looks for his role in the movie I. Syed Siddiq who has won the title of Mr. Asia 2014 has made a significant appearance at a fight scene of the movie I. The audio launch of Tamil movie I was done in the Chennai city with the presence of Arnold Schwarznegger by the hands of Tamil actor Super Star Rajnikanth. The character name of Vikram in the movie is Lingeshwaran who is having the Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarznegger as his inspiration and even he is having the same hair style of Arnold's young age hair style with a slight curl on the forehead. One of the get ups of Vikram in this film is having the hunched back appearance and this role has the maximum part to play in the movie with many bubbles throughout the body including the face of Vikram and the head where only less hair is existing. As the look of hunched back appearance of Vikram has some how ugly look, Shankar has revealed that it was tough for him to sketch the appearance of this hunched back Vikram as the audience will have to see this get up for the maximum time of the movie so it should not be looking ugly but with bubbles on the face.
As the appearance of Vikram in Tamil movie I will have around 45 kg in the first half of the movie and the second half Vikram's role has to have around 110 kg of weight. To make sure on this point, Vikram has done very tough diet control by eating only vegetables when the other artists and technicians of I are eating non veg biriyani in the set and Vikram had been checking perfectly and making sure always that there are no other cameras than P C Sri ram is focusing on him ( ie ) Vikram has checked around him always in the shooting spot of Tamil movie I and deleted the images / videos captured by others with the private cameras and mobile cameras.
