The Weta Workshop which is placed at New Zealand is very special one for creating the characters in movies without using the Computer graphics and animation works. One of the senior technicians of the crew involved in the make up works in Tamil movie I Mr. Sean Foot has spoke with us about his experience with the Crew of Tamil movie I and some interesting facts about Tamil movie I too.

What is special with Tamil movie I

The thing what director Shankar wanted to show is not existing in the real world. He needed a character with ugly appearance. But the same character should be not like the one hated by the audience. Shankar had well planned and kept the things about the character and so we felt comfortable when working. The get up that you have seen in the Poster of Tamil movie I comes as the main character of the movie. I have done the make up for that ugly appearance for 70 times. As there are not many movies came in India by keeping the importance for make up, we did not get the proper materials for our works when working for I so, all the materials were imported. I had main fear because of the heat in India, that can cause for the disturbance with the make up. But the things worked well and the output has come good.

What made you to work with this movie? ( This is the first time Weta workshops working for a movie in Asia ).

The one and only reason is director Shankar. The way how Shankar explained the story to us. Weta Workshops is celebrating the 20th years now. We have done many hollywood movies like Lord of the rings, The habbit, Narnia and so on. I have worked with many movie directors. I have not seen a director who is telling the story without any confusions. He did not think of telling the margin of the story and to see the remaining things on the shooting spot. Shankar expected perfection in each and every things of the movie started from the tiny things. I think Tamil cinema director Shankar should come to Hollywood and he has the capacity to achieve there in hollywood.

About Tamil actor Vikram:

I understood about Tamil actor Vikram that he is a hard worker. He is a company for me in the sets to speak fast English. He is a good heart man that he takes food for me from his home and shares with me and treated us well. We spent 3 hours of time for every make up for Vikram in the beginning.
Later on the make up time got reduced into two and one finally. The make up will be active only for 16 to 18 hours and it will take 40 minutes to remove the make up. Vikram was so patient in all these times spent for make up. My birthday came at the time of the Tamil movie I shooting; both Shankar and Vikram surprised me by arranging for cake cutting and celebrated my birthday and made me happy.

Is there any make up for Tamil actress Amy Jackson for the movie I?

Ask this to the director ( laughs ). Tamil actress Amy Jackson is so funny character and she was so active at the shooting spot. When the Tamil movie Shooting was going on at the Kodaikanal spot, Amy Jackson was sharing the food with the monkeys there just like a child.

Also Tamil movie I - senior make up Technician Sean Foot added that he has got exclaimed by seeing the Tamil movies Endhiran and Naan Ee and we Weta Workshops want to do more in India. When I was working for the movie I, parallel worked for the Telugu movie Paagubali.I met many Indian directors; I am working with the next movie of  Vikram.

Also Tamil movie I - senior make up Technician Sean Foot said, he is not married yet and he is a single still. I have gone to many places of India like Kerala, Bangalore, Mysore and the Indian girls are beautiful and if director Shankar finds a girl for me, I am ready to get married.
