What do you think about the success of the Tamil movie Kadhai Thirai Kadhai Vasanam Iyakkam ?
I have got feelings up to getting tears in eyes after seeing the success of this movie. It took one week for me to see how the people are watching the movie Kadhai Thirai Kadhai Vasanam Iyakkam. Only yesterday I saw the movie in Escape theaters with the people. Before and all they just give a smile when seeing me in public but yesterday during the interval time of the movie all the ladies are screaming by seeing me just like how they scream when seeing Tamil actors like Arya. I am seeing this just the success of the story of the film; this is a success for the admiring style of audience has changed. Nowadays happiness is coming out through eyes as tears. I am going to send Tamil movie Kadhai Thirai Kadhai Vasanam Iyakkam to lot of cinema festivals and hoping that the movie will receive many prices.
Are you going to take Kadhai Thirai Kadhai Vasanam Iyakkam part 2?
Yes. I have decided the name for the movie as Upma. I have not decided the story for the Tamil movie Upma yet.
How did you believe that your movie will get success when Tamil actor Surya's Anjaan was releasing at the same time?
When ever I am talking with my assistants they do say that, this is okay for us, will audience admire this? That means, they think that audience have low admiring sense than themselves. But I consider myself as an audience. I know that audience is getting updating himself as how I am. Even if any movie like Anjaan is coming to the theaters, the audience like me go only to the movie like Goli Soda. We do search and find and support if any new attempt is there. There is a group of people who is coming after seeing housefull board for Anjaan and who thinks that the ticket wont be available for Anjaan. Those audience could be 30%. So I know this much of audience only will come for the first three days.
Did you get this much support and mass welcome for your Tamil movie Pudhiya Paathai?
No. I didnt get this much support for Pudhiya paadhai. Now I have more minuses than pluses. There will be a mob telling that Parthiban's Tamil movie Kudaikkul Mazhai was not understandable. They is another group saying, Parthiban takes only the movie those can not be understood. Even now there are some one telling could not understand the movie Kadhai Thirai Kadhai Vasanam Iyakkam also. Some one is telling, nothing is disclosed at the climax of the movie. Audiences have also changed, today's youngsters are celebrating me.
What are the compliments you have got from the Tamil cinema celebrities for the movie Kadhai Thirai Kadhai Vasanam Iyakkam? Have you got compliments from Tamil actor Vijay also?
I dont know. I am expecting from Tamil actor vijay. Tamil cinema director Mani Rathnam has told, 'you have achieved a big thing. It is very tough to get today's youngsters. Tamil director Bharathiraja has said Parthiban has crossed 25 years at a time with a single movie and this movie is enough for the next 25 years. Director Bakyaraj has said that Bakyaraj do talk whenever he watches movies, but could not talk after watching the Tamil movie Kadhai Thirai Kadhai Vasanam Iyakkam, thats why he is writing. Director Nalan Kumarasaamy has said it will take 10 more years for Nalan to catch Pathiban. Then the Tamil cinema directors Karthik Subburaj and Shantha kumar have also appreciated Tamil cinema director Radha Krishnan Parthiban.
