Story of Tamil movie Raaja Raani:
The movie starts with the marriage scene between John and Regina in a church. When the father of the church asks Regina whether she agrees to marry John, she comes to say that she agrees to marry Surya. Then she corrects herself the name from Surya to John after James gets pain on his chest. Then John and Regina exchanging their rings. With this interesting scene, the movie moves to the clashes between Regina and John after that marriage.
At a stage, Regina gets fits due to the behaviour of John. At the hospital, one of the nurses asking the name of his wife and he says he doesn't know anything about her. By the advice of the nurse, John starts to ask some medical related questions about her health. By that way, Regina had to reveal her love story with Surya to John.
In that story, Surya the person who works in the customer care services of a private mobile company had to interact with Regina. At a moment by seeing the innocense of Surya, Regina fells in love with Surya. Then she reveals about her love to her father James and he shows green signal for the love. But in Surya house his father is opposing their love. After many interesting jokes, emotions, tears and bundle of love, the love between Surya and Regina faces failure.

After hearing the love story of Regina, John gets soft corner with Regina and he starts to love his wife from that scece. After few shots, Sarathy the friend of John reveals the love story of John with his Ex girl friend Keerthana to Regina.
The love story of John with Keerthana happens when he has no job and hasn't settled in life. Keerthana is a woman who works in a software company and meets John for a purpose happens to Sarathy. John fells in love with Keerthana as love at first sight. But Keerthana keep on calling John as brother wherever she sees him. After many days following, Keerthana reveals back John that she has also been in love with him from the moment she saw him. After high emotional and etertaining scenes the love between John and Keerthana comes to an end with failure too.
The remaining story of Tamil movie Raja Rani shows us whether love blossomed between John ( Arya ) and Regina ( Nayantara ) or not? What happened to Keerthana ( Nazriya ) and Surya ( Jai )?
This is a good entertaining movie with nice story line.
The dialogues are very simple and stagging in our mind even after coming out from the theater.
Back ground music is a pillar.
Casts selection and their performance is a key for this successful movie of the talented director - Atlee.
This movie should be called as the come back movie of Tamil actress Nayantara for sure. She has lived as Regina, especially in the scenes when she cries for Jai, getting fits as a result of tortures from Arya and at the climax.
Tamil actor Jai has acted differently in this movie with very innocent character with lot of humor expressions.
