In the movie Silambattam, he acted with the role of Poojari simbu. After Silambattam, Santhanam acted in his one of the milestone hit movies, Siva Manasula Shakthi (SMS). In the same year 2005, Sandanam acted in some other movies with the leading  vijay in Sachin, S. J. surya in Anbe Aaruyirey,  Sathyaraj in Englishkaaran and Oru Kallooriyin Kadhai with Arya.
