The actor started his cinema career in Telugu movies.  

In the following years, he did many successful movies in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi cinema industries.

Siddharth Cinema Career:

After completing his MBA degree, Siddharth decided to work in movie creation and proved helpful as an assistant movie director before entering into the acting career in the year 2003 through the movie Boys in Tamil language.

Siddharth was very much interested in cinema direction career and that was his ultimate dream after completing his degree at the age of twenty-one. Siddharth joined as an associate movie director for Mani Ratnam's Kannathil Muthamittal. 

2003 : 

Boys :

The scriptwriter of that movie, Sujatha advised Siddharth to audition for S. Shankar's Boys Tamil film which would have five new stars. 

After discussing with Mani Ratnam, he spoke with Shankar, auditioned, and got the character of Munna. The movie was an average achievement in Tamil but Boys Telugu Dubbing offered Siddharth an excellent entry in the Telugu movie market. 

2004 :

Ayudha Eluthu :

Siddharth then worked with Mani Ratnam's Aayutha Ezhuthu which was released in the year 2004. In this movie, the role of Sidharth is a cool youngster who tries to go abroad for master's studies but he turns to social activities due to some situations. The movie was average and he switched to Telugu-language movies. 

2011 

After a huge gap of 8 years, Sidharth started acting in Tamil movies in 2011, but he was working on other language movies in those days. 

180 :

 He was next seen in the Tamil-Telugu multilingual movie 180 directed by Jayendra, which was a great flop. In this movie, Sidharth acted with Nithya Menen and Priya Anand. In this movie, Sidharth acted as a patient who will die in 180 days and the whole movie is about how wisely he spends those 180 days in Chennai. 

2012 :

In the year 2012, Siddharth first appeared in the comedy and love subject movie Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi. The same was released in Telugu as Love Failure Telugu movie. This is based on the short film Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi directed by Balaji Mohan has come to the big screen through Y Not Studios. 

2013 :

Then Siddharth acted in Theeya Velai Seiyanum Kumaru under the direction of Sundar C by having Hansika Motwani as heroin and Santhanam as a comedian in the year 2013. This movie did well at the box office of Tamil cinema and in the same year ( 2013 ), 

In the same year, Sidharth acted in Udhayam ( NH 4 ) which was directed by Mani Maaran, and written by Vetri Maran, having Ashrita Shetty as heroin. This movie was also a Super hit movie as per the Box Office Collection. This movie had a high-speed screenplay about a story happening on a road trip. 

2014: 

Sidharth acted in a couple of movies this year but, among those movies, Kaviya Thalaivan had a big scope to give enough acting space for Sidharth.

In the year 2014, Sidharth acted in a couple of movies namely Jigarthanda and Kaaviya Thalaivan. Among these, Jigarthanda was directed by Karthik Subbaraj, having Lakshmi Menon as the heroin of the movie. In this movie, the role of Sidharth is a cinema director who goes to Madurai from Chennai to take the story of a real-life gangster as a movie. 

On the other hand, Kaaviya Thalaivan was directed by Vasantha Balan, who had Vedika as heroin. In this movie, Sidharth acted as a drama artist. Even though the movie did not do well at the box office, the acting of Sidharth was appreciated by critics and the audience. 

2015:

In the year 2015, Sidharth acted in only one movie namely Enakkul Oruvan which was a remake of a Super Hit Kannada movie and the same did not go well at the Box Office. In this movie, Sidharth acted with makeup for black skin. 

2016 :

In the following year ( 2016 ), Sidharth acted in a  couple of movies namely Aranmanai 2 and Jill Jung Juk. Among these  movies, Aranmanai 2 did well at the box office,

In Aranmanai 2, Sidharth acted with Hansika Motwani under the direction of Sundar C with the music of Hip Hop Tamizha Adhi. 

Choosing Jill Jung Juck was one of the bold decisions taken by Sidharth in those days. Even though this movie did not do well when it was released, later on, the movie attracted many youngsters especially the song, Shoot Kuruvi. But the good reception happened for JilJungJuck only after a decade. 

2017 :

In the year 2017, Sidharth acted in the movie Aval in which Andrea Jeremiah acted as his pair under the direction of Milind Rau with the music of Girish G from the production company Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. In this horror movie, Sidharth acts as the husband of a girl who is affected by rebellion. 

2019 :

Sivapu Manjal Pachai :

After a gap of 1 year, Sidharth acted again in 2019 for the movie Sivappu Manjal Pachai. In this movie, he acts as a sensible but angry man who fights with the brother of his wife. This movie was appreciated by critics for its basic plot of it. 

This movie had G V Prakash Kumar, Lijimol Jose, and Kashmira Pardhesi in its cast. This movie was directed by Sasi with the music of Siddhu Kumar from the production company Abhishek Films. 

Aruvam :

Sidharth acted as a strict Food Safety officer representing the government. In this movie, Sidharth acted with Catherine Tresa and Kabir Duhan in the cast under the direction of Sai Shekhar with the music of Thaman. 

2023 :

After Aruvam, he took 2 years of gap and came back to Tamil cinema with the movies Takkar and Siththa in the year 2023. 

This movie was more like the old movie Run (2002). But the movie did not work well in box office. Sidharth acted with Divyanksha Kaushik and Yogi Babu under the direction of Karthik G Krish with the music of Nivas K Prasanna. 

Other language movies :

Siddharth's first Telugu movie was a commercial success. 

His first immediate Telugu movie was Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, the movie was released in the year 2005. This is a comedy-drama movie. The movie director is a choreographer who turned into an actor Prabhu Deva.

2006 : 

The next Telugu film of Siddharth is Chukkallo Chandrudu which was released in the year 2006. In this movie, he also performed as a play-back musician. 

He next came out in Bollywood as an aspect of the really recommended smash hit Rang De Basanti which also showed Aamir Khan. Siddharth obtained the Celebrity Display First Appearance award for his aspect as Karan Singhania in the movie.

Siddharth's Bommarillu movie was released in the year 2006. This is a father and son relationship-based story that obtained crucial recognition and a box office hit too.

2007:

After the release of Aata in the year 2007, he did Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam Telugu movie with heroin as Tamanna. His next movie was debutant movie director Anand Ranga's Oy!, which obtained commercial success and got a neutral despite. 

Siddharth’s movie in 2010 was Striker, his second Bollywood project that made the character of a carrom gamer. The movie got the pride of first Indian language movie to be published in cinemas and on YouTube on the same day. Siddharth other Telugu movie Baava in which he played the role village character. They have excellent locations in Palakollu, Razole, Rajahmundry, and Hyderabad.

Siddharth's first movie in 2011 was Prakash Kovelmundi's dream Anaganaga O Dheerudu was produced by K. Raghavendra Rao.

In 2017, Sidharth did the movies, The House Next Door ( Hindi language ), Aval, and Gruham. Among these, Aval movie has been produced by Sidharth, having Andrea as heroin, and directed by Milind Rau, with music by Girish. This movie has done well at the Box Office and critically acclaimed movie too. Gruham is a Telugu movie.

Actor Sidharth during the Chennai Floods 2015:

When a historical flood came in Chennai and most of the places of Chennai sunk underwater, probably all the youngsters of Chennai came out and helped each other in rescue operations throughout the city for consecutive days. As far as I noticed, all those revolutionary activities during that flood time started from the tweet of Sidharth, he tweeted a video showing the staging water in his house and said that, even though he is one of the most known actors and he could not face this situation easily, how will poor people manage? the next day, Sidharth stepped out of his house and started his service of helping the Chennai people who trapped in the Chennai flood 2015. 

From that day and the next day, news started coming that Chennai youngsters, and actors were helping the Chennai people without even expecting the help from Government or military.

Interesting Facts  about Sidharth :

Siddharth was a member of the reputed theatre group of Kirori Mal. He was also the chief executive of Kirori Mal institution and participated in the Community Debating Tournament.

From time to time he gives his performance as a play-back musician and scriptwriter as well.
