He did the role of actors Vijay’s brother and he was not spoke much at that time. This movie was released in the year 2002 and after the long gap of 5 years Actor Jai was introduced as a hero in the movie Chennai 600028 in the year 2007. In the five years gap he attempted to learn keyboard and some basics in music from his cousin Sri Kanth Deva. The name of Jai was recognized by Tamil audience after the hit of Chennai 600028 movie songs.

The next movie Subramaniapuram was released in 2008. It was a super hit movie and commercially success. Then in the year 2013, Jai acted in the Tamil movie Raja Rani pairing with Nayantara. This movie got a great hit in box office. Even though the movie had the main male role of Arya, the role of Jai was spoken much positively as his role was most entertaining with his innocent acting having his voice as the back bone of the role.
