Edison Award Festival conducted at Lady Andal School, Chennai. They were awarded for best Tamil actor, best actress, best Tamil Comedian and best music director in Kollywood. Rajini award is provided for the best actor in Edison awards. Our ilayathalapathi Vijay gained this Rajini award and was labelled as best tamil actor. He is awarded for his acting in movie Velayutham. Award was given by Ragava Lawrence.

Richa gained best actress award for the movie Mayakkam Enna. Iniya who starred in Vagai Sooda Va also gathered a special award for her acting. Actor Jeyam Ravi and Mahath bagged award. Premji bagged Best Comedian award for the movie Mankatha. Why this kolaveri d is selected as the best song and Dhanush was awarded as best singer. Dhanush wife Aiswarya received this award.
