Vijay’s Mersal movie has been released recently, this movie has some dialogues regarding the Central Government of India's systems such as demonetization, GST etc., So BJP party who are the ruling party of India, has raised many complaints on the movie Mersal.  In the mean while, A.Aswathaman ( name of person who has filed one of the cases against movie Mersal ) registered public case against this movie and this has become one of the top controversies of movie Mersal.

In Tamil Nadu, Mersal movie has released under the direction of Atlee, Star casting is Vijay, Samantha, Kajal Agarwal Nithya Menon, Vadivelu, S J Surya etc.,Music composed by AR Rahman, Cinematography by GK Vishnu and Produced by Theenandal Films. Distributors have declared what is the first day collection in Tamil Nadu.

This is one of the most expected movies in Tamil Cinema for Actor Vijay’s fans in Tamil Nadu. So on the first day itself more crowd in the theatres. In many theatres, shows are opened in the early morning itself.

In spite of the decision taken by the producers team that no new movies will be released,  Mersal is confirmed to be launched by the team.

Since government has imposed 10% Local Body Entertainment Tax (LBET) for Tamil films producers decided to show their opposition by not allowing any new Tamil movies to be released.

They have also increased the ticket fare by 25% as from before which is creating more issues.
